Java-E UK - Consumer Rights (Your Right To Cancel)

For distance selling, you can cancel your order if you change your mind (the item does not have to be defective for you to be able to cancel your order).

For physical goods, you must tell the seller within 7 working days after you've received the goods.

For services, you must tell the seller within 7 working days after the service starts.

This cooling off period is not relevant to items/services which are to be received within 7 working days of your payment (but if that's the case then the seller must let you know before your purchase that you will be denied a cooling-off period).

Some products are excluded from the cooling-off period, such as food, personally produced/designed items, plants, newspapers, gaming/betting services, opened (and previously sealed) audio/visual equipment and opened-pre-sealed computer software.

"Letting you Know" this information can be done by postal letter, fax, or email. Simply displaying it somewhere on a web-site is not sufficient.

Likewise, for you to tell the seller that you wish to cancel you must do it by postal letter, fax, or email.
