Java-E UK - Consumer Rights (Clear Pricing)
We have noticed that many companies and web-sites (and physical shops/stores for that matter) have a serious lack of clear labelling for their customers, and try to get you in the door by denying/hiding or obfuscating information which would raise the price or lower the quality/appeal of their products in your eyes.
All advertised prices, whether they be standard prices or sale prices, should be fully inclusive by law (including postage, packing, taxes etc). If extra costs (post, packing etc) are variable, then the seller should still state a final fully inclusive price (eg: "From £10").
We have a policy of labelling all our products as clearly as possible showing the final price (with all costs included such as postage, tax etc) at every stage of your viewing/ordering. When you view our products, you will not have to wait until the final ordering stage before you see what you will end up getting charged - you will see the full price breakdown even at the browsing/viewing stage.
If we can't give you a final price at the time of ordering (eg if your product has something involved in its production which is specific to you and needs to be individually priced by us, such as a gem-change in a piece of jewellery), then you will not be asked for payment until we have investigated and given you a final price - and if you then don't like/accept that price then you do not have to order/purchase the item.
