Java-E UK - Consumer Rights (Sales)
Whenever an item is shown and/or advertised as being on sale, reduced, or discounted, the old price and the new price must both be prominently displayed for the sale to be real/legal.
Introductory Offers are only valid if the seller intends to charge the stated higher price later on, and the offer should not run for an unreasonable length of time.
The corresponding undiscounted prices should have been (or intended to be for introductory offers) in effect for at least 28 consecutive days in the last six months (or next six months for introductory offers) by the same shop that's got the sale. Any products which are shown/advertised as being on sale, reduced, or discounted which do not abide by those rules should have the full description of the sale situation prominently displayed with the sale price.
All advertised prices, whether they be standard or sale prices, should be fully inclusive by law (including postage, packing, taxes etc).
For items which are on sale by us, we tell you the reason for the sale, the pre-sale price (and/or the post-sale price if relevant), the sale price, and the amount saved, all at the same time when you browse/view the products on our site and during the ordering process.
