Java-E UK News - WebSite News

25-Jun-2003 Bespoke section added
A new section explaining how you can ask for bespoke jewellery has been added to the site, showing examples of previous bespoke items.
14-May-2003 Search Criteria Added to Results Pages
On the pages which show the results of the browse products searches, the original search criteria are now shown so that you can change the criteria directly on the results page and re-execute the search without having to go back to a separate parameter page.
19-May-2003 Specific Item query created
You can now use the new pop-list on the product browse search criteria to select a specific product to view, as well as still being able to search by category.
14-May-2003 Browse Products Pages Created
The results on the product browser are now split between separate pages, showing a maximum of 6 products per page, where you can click on the page number buttons to view the different pages. This was needed as large searches took too long to load the pictures on a single page.
07-May-2003 Email Form Added
See [Contact Us] on the left-side menu for details. You can now send us email directly through our site without having to have your own email address or software.
10-Apr-2003 Agents Added
See [Be an Agent] on the left-side menu for details. If you drive people to our site, you'll get 10% commission on everything those customers buy.
02-Apr-2003 Bargain Bin Added
See [Our Bargain Bin] on the left-side menu for details. New poplist added to the browse criteria page to allow you to view normal (Premier) items or Bargain Bin items or both.
25-Mar-2003 More Consumer Rights Information Added
More sections describing your consumer rights have been added to the Consumer Rights menu.
16-Mar-2003 News sections added.
New sections for Press Releases, WebSite news, and Stock news added. These sections are intended to act as an archive library for all changes made to the company/site/stock - customers, potential customers, and members of the media can now view our entire history at the click of a button.
06-Mar-2003 Site ReVamp - Thanks to our customers' feedback.
The use of frames for the site has now been abandoned to allow for people who have simpler versions of browsers/systems (eg for people who use TV Browsers etc).
The site now has a much simpler and easier to use look-and-feel to it, where the site is now always just shown in a single frame/page which can be scrolled up/down.
This also helps those with lower resolution and/or smaller screens, and generally makes the site less messy and easier to navigate/use. It also means that individual pages can be marked in your favourites without causing frame-breaking problems etc.
We also added a Jump pop-list in the logo frame so that people can instantly go to any part of the site without having to go through sub-menus.
The revamp of the entire site took only 7 days, and was done in response to feedback that we got from customers - so please note that we DO listen to our customers and give them what they want - your opinions ARE genuinely valued and very welcome.
25-Feb-2003 WebSite Goes Live.
Java-E UK off-line business had already been running for several months, but today the WebSite was finalised and switched to Live mode and can now accept orders/payments online and customers can track orders. Our local trading standards office and council were also informed by us today of our new online trading/business, and we invited them (along with the Birmingham Assay Office) to review the contents of our WebSite to make sure that our customers have all relevant consumer information freely and easily available to them on our site.
